 Meet the Founders

  • Hi, I'm Jen!

    I started my first company when I was 19 with just $75. That company grew into a million-dollar company that I was able to easily sell. Although that story has a happy ending, I spent years working 16 hours days, 7 days a week.

    I worked with every client, answered all the calls, handled the marketing, and played every role in my business. I was exhausted, burned out, and taking a day off was close to impossible. Something had to change or I was going to have to close my business.

    So I started firing myself from daily operations and started hiring and delegating to a stellar, vetted team. This allowed me to be the CEO of my business by giving me the time I needed to develop new services, make strategic partnerships, seek corporate contracts, create systems, document SOPs, develop training materials, and scale my company. All while working part-time and paying myself a full-time salary. Sacrificing my health, relationships, and life for my business was over.

    Several businesses later, I know how easy it is to work in your business instead of on your business, so I am on a mission to help other women business owners build wealth by creating businesses that scale so they can work less and make more.

  • Hello, I'm Meredith!

    After receiving my Master's Degree in Organizational Management from George Washingtington University, I immediately started my first company providing management consulting to non-profits and small, women-owned businesses.

    After 6 years of management consulting, I realized that my entrepreneurial heart was ready for a new challenge. So, I closed my consulting company and started a small publishing house focused on first-time authors and writers of historical and sociological fiction. This grew into my other company, Eaton Press, where I provide writing coaching and self-publishing services to non-fiction writers who want to use their books as tools to grow their business.

    And this is where Sparent comes in... When I began to use stay-at-home moms as virtual assistants, I had a conversation with my business bestie (Jen!) where we realized that stay-at-home moms were an untapped resource for high-quality, reliable, and flexible work.

    We created Sparent together as a way to connect impressive moms and businesses to help women grow and thrive in their work. I love what we do, our clients, and our Sparents.

    Outside of running my businesses, I enjoy my time with family and friends. I live near Myrtle Beach, SC with my husband, and also am an expert at getting sand out of my laptop.
